big speakers, not so big room

I'm thinking of buying the Mission Cinema 70 surround speaker package from Richer Sounds (702e floor-standing front speakers, 70DS and 70C1 centre and rears) , to go with my fledgling Home cinema system.

However, my room is small (in home cinema terms) at only 3.5*3.5 metres. So I'm worried these large speakers will swamp the room and make my movies sound dreadful.

What does anyone reckon? Are there any better options for under £350?

For the price they are probably the best option. The 702e's shouldn't be too big for your room, and if they sound a little boomy you could try plugging their bass ports.

You will be much better off with small speakers all around + a good subwoofer, and large speakers on any room are more difficult to position, now smallish and square... good luck...
