Stupid question alert.
Can you use a bi-wire on normal speakers? Ie just connecting 2 of the 4?
Assuming you mean the Bi-wire cable Yes you can but its not reconmended, Bi-wire cable at normal prices is no different to ordinairy cable, its just split into 4 instead of 2 but if you only connect 2 not all four you have paid for cable you aren't using and using half thickness copnnections so its not great. .
Is there a reduction in quality when using a bi-wire cable on normal speakers (as opposed to a normal speaker cable)?
The reason I ask is im running a wire behind the wall and im currently using standard speakers but may upgrade to some better bi-wire ones in the future so I was wondering if I could install a bi-wire cable and still use it with normal speakers.
Would my best bet be to install 2 speaker cables?
If you run good quality Bi-wire cable and use all four strands i.e. 2 cable to each terminal that should be fine, or you can run two pairs of standard cable but I would run Bi-wire if you are definatley thinking of upgrading soon
Much appreciated. Thanks
