Bi-wire speaker cable

Does it matter what direction you use your speaker cable. My friend has just set he's up and asking for advice.
He has set up his system and bi-wired his speakers but his speaker wire is directed from his speakers into his amp.

What I have read is that speaker cable should be pointed away from the amp and into the speakers.

Any difference/Benifits in which way you do it as long as they are in the right connectors?

Cable is cable and it does not matter which direction the signal goes. It will sound the same no matter which direction it is connected, just make sure you do not cross the connections.
Is your friend biwiring or biamping? If just biwiring then they will see no benefits from a single cable (assuming it was is reasonable quality/thickness).
