Bi-amping Denon 3805

Can anyone assist with my dilema?

I currently have the front channels of my 3805 biamped with a Cyrus smart power and psxr external power supply but I'm not sure its done correctly. The bass and midrange speaker cable connects from the speaker terminals of the 3805 to the corresponding bass terminals on my newly aquired Monitor Audio Gr20's and I use the front pre out with an interconnect to the power amp and the speaker cable runs from the Cyrus to the tweaters of the GR20's. The sound is much improved but could it be even better if I only used the preout and ran bass and higher frequencies from Cyrus amps (I have a 2nd one to use if needed) Does at least one speaker cable run have to be connected to the 3805?

I also have a 2nd question which I will post seperatly.

Thanks
