Hi.
Total novice so please be gentle. Nice short words please.
I have a Cyrus 8vs, CD8x and a PSX-R. All oldish. I have been given a Smartpower amp and was wonder what connectors from the VS to the Power amp and which unit should i plug the PSXR into to to get the best out of the set up intil i can afford a other.
Hope that makes sense.

Hello and welcome sir.

The PSX should always go to wherever the preamp section is. In this case the 8VS.

Connect the Smart powers left/right inputs (making sure that the switch is set to stereo) to the preouts on the VS, and off you go.

You’d need to spend a bit to ‘better‘ your speakers sir.

But taste is a different thing.

Is there anything about them with which you’re unhappy?

Not really. I like them and they punch out a good sound in not a particularly large room which has always been my problem. Im hoping the added amp may drive the speakers better. Currently bi-wired with Chord Rumour 4 cable

Bi-wiring is at best a waste of cable. It doesn’t do anything.

Bi-amping is a different beast altogether.

You should get a better controlled speaker, especially at high volumes and heavy ohm loads.

Hi.
Another question and again excuse my ignorance.
Speaker wire to the 8vs and Smart amp.
From the 8vs - top 2 Speaker outs to the top terminals on the Speaker and from the smart - bottom 2 terminals on the same speaker.
Is that correct. Or do you suggest a better method 🤔
