could I Bi amp 2500 and marantz monoblock my front speakers using a combination of these two or would i have to have two of the same if i wanted to do that i.e. two monoblocks?

Would a single marantz monblock MA500 be better than the amps in the 2500?

At a guess you would need 2 mono blocks, one for each speaker. As for if they are better i would suspect they would be at least as good. Bi amping makes a lot of difference so do that dotn be tempted to use them instead unless your going to use 4 monoblocks:devil:

THere are some on the classified that i'm tempted by, but i think it might be worth getting some much higher end monoblocks or even a 5 channel power amp.
If bi amping with my 2500 is possible I would be much more tempted though, but am thinking maybe it would sound wrong (like my speakers were ill or something :p)?

I was looking at one as well to drive my centre since i sold my other rotel power amp. I dont know how you think you speakers would sound ill so cant answer that :zonked: The yammy would be driving all the amps so would sound superb. What speakers do you own? As long as the 2500 has A + B zones and pre-outs and your speakers are bi-wireable then your fine :D

I have B&W P5's which are old 705's ish. I was just thinking that the sound from the marantz might be different from that the yam produces, even through it's doing all the processing. But if it would be good would could do a 2 way deal with the guy, me 2 you 1.

Nice idea but not sure if I can afford it or have the space for it.
