What kind of input level do you get on your bfd ,the sub out on the amp is set at +3db but doesn't do much on the led input on the bfd.The reason i ask is that i found out this morning that too low a input on the bfd is a bad thing.
What sort of input level are other people getting.

Bob - My output level is set at 0db which i have found is the best level to set at as if it goes higher when listening at say -4db it goes very briefly into the Red which is more or less the max output i want to go to.

I have never had it to clipping on the bfd , i think the amp as a weak output as i allways suffer with auto on on subs.
I have turned the amp upto +6db and turned the sub down, i never play it too loud but i did try at -5db and it just started to flicker the red light.
Just goes to show the difference in output levels between amps.
