Better than PJTX300 ?

Having decided to buy the Hitachi Pj300 I have just found out that my budget has just increased by a grand, can any of you guys recommend a better projector at around the 2k price range and point me in the direction of some reviews ................... or should I stick with the Hitachi and go on a nice holiday . Want it for hi def gaming and movies.
