Ive heard that a few dvd films have extras wherby it helps you set up your set correctly, do these work and what films have them. I have a scart to phon lead into my pj so what needs doing to get the best picture quality.

also there appears to be a few smears on the outside of the lens, how do i clean this.

    thanks guys

The R2 Phantom menace and Terminator 2 have the THX optimode Sound and Screen setup. I think its only the R1 version of Toy Story that also has this.

Brad, you haven't said which projector you have.
Using your scart to phono cable will be the worst way to connect up your projector.
Using a scart to S-video converter will improve the picture quality.
If your projector is up to it, using a home cinema PC connected up via RGB will produce the best results for your money. With DVD, the picture quality can be better than you see at the cinema.
You could use a video scaler instead of a home cinema computer, but that's leading off to a more complicated story.
Anyhow, people either use Video Essentials or the Avia disc mentioned above. You can get both from Amazon.
Don't know about the smears issue.

Not entirely true been covered before and it also depends on your kit but Avia or VE should be fine for setting most things regardless of PAL/NTSC issues as long as you use it the right way.
