I currently have NTL cable via a pace digibox (D14001N) and I also have a DVD player connected as well as a VCR. I also have a surround sound amp connected.

My question may be slightly stupid but if I want to record to a hard drive is it better/cheaper/easier to simply buy a HD/dvd recorder or connect to my PC. And how would I connect to a PC anyway. There seem to be a lot of options and therefore a lot of pitfalls. could anyone give me advice as to what to start to look for ( I am not the greatest technophile when it comes to PCs).

    Thanks

Probably much easier to purchase a HD/DVD recorder and use that to replace the VCR.
