    Hi

whats the best lead to use for connecting a PS2 to an FQ75?

Im currently using the normal one you get with the console and am wondering if you can improve picture etc?

Im using an optical lead to connect it to my DAV to get the sound through those speakers

    Cheers
    :)

Get an RGB capable PS2 to Scart lead and plug it onto the (usually) blue scart on the back of the telly

    Ashy,

I agree with Graham, get an RGB capable SCARt lead. The official Sony lead is quite expensive, but Game (and HMV I think) have one called the 'Blaze Ultimate SCART' or something like that. It's around £15, and it has a switch - in one position, it outputs composite (the same as what you're using at the moment I think) so you can watch DVD's without the green screen, and in the other position it outputs RGB for top quality game performance. I got one myself recently, and it's a top piece of kit .

As for connecting to your TV, I don't know anything about that model, but check your user manual, that should be able to confirm which SCART socket is RGB capable.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Dave.

i wont be using the ps2 for dvds at all mate, so it will solely be for games. do companies like ixos etc do them? or do you have to get either sony official ones or ones that games shops have?

I've not heard of IXOS et al doing them.

The ones from Game et al are fine. I've got a PS2 > component and its OK so they RGB ones should be fine.

The blaze and other similar makes are a fraction of the sony price but are not inferior as far as I can tell.

Ashy, have a look at www.hifistore.co.uk, I have one in order right now, I think they are just waiting for stock. It really looks good, and it is something like 32.95 inc delivery.

    Cheers

I've removed the football posts as it ruined a good thread. Please stay on topic.
