Hey, I just purchased an ASUS 22" full HD LCD for my PC and 360.

I've been playing around with the settings on the monitor, and have achieved largely successful results - but there doesn't seem to be much information around on software.

If this was a tv, I'd be looking at an upscaling DVD player - is there a software equivilant for the PC?

I'm currently using WMP11 and the NVIDIA Purevideo decoder (with no tweaks, I don't understand much of it) and the picture is detailed and colourful, but quite grainy.

Have you any advice on tweaking or different programs/decoders to use? I also have the K-Lite Mega Codec pack installed if that's relevant..

i tend to use gom or wmp - wmp for hd files as it handles them better

gom if i want to do pauses or screengrabs

note you will always get grain on dvd playback as all films contain some level of grain on dvd, i haven't tried powerDVD on my current setup, but i need to get round to it as it produces a very good picture
