Best way to connect up TV/home Theatre System

Hi everyone Looking for advice please on setting up following
LG 42 lk450u television with 3 hdmi connections
Sony dvd home theatre DAV DZ260 with 1 hdmi connection
Samsung virgin media V+ set top box with 1 hdmi connection
Do i just connect to tv with 2 seperate hdmi leads from Home theatre and V+ box
Also all 3 units have an optical connection for surround system do i connect optical lead from sony unit to V+ box or is the tv optical connection involved as well and how ie would i connect up sony to tv and not the V+ box
Finally i would still like to connect a dvd recorder i have, a Sony RDR GX350
So i would use the 3rd hdmi connection on tv for this, however i notice it only has an analogue tuner so is it impossible to record with this unit now. Thanks for any replies in advance

HDMI from all three units to TV, and select which source depending what you want to watch. Optical from Virgin to home cinema when watching cable, optical from TV to home cinema when watching Freeview. DVD recorder has scart inputs, which can still be used to record Freeview (from scart output on telly) and Virgin (scart output on Virgin Media box).
