I am picking up a Marantz SR5300 on friday. I would like to know the best way to hook all my kit up.

    My Kit:

    Marantz SR5300
    Sky Digibox
    Pioneer DV-315 DVD Player - Scart, S-Video
Toshiba 29" TV (Pretty Old) - Has 3 Scarts, S-Video.
    Toshiba VCR - 2 Scarts
    PS2
    Gamecube

I will be changing the TV in the near future.

    Any suggestions?

If you have only one RGB scart then you must either decide if Sky is worth using it on, or DVD or buy a SCART splitter from Argos (the one with NO attached cable) as it supports 3 RGB sources.

SVIDEO using the amp to switch is possible. Search here for opinions.

I believe someone sells an s-video cable to attach more than one console (can't remember who, you will need to search).

So with the VCR in the back of the Sky box on RGB and either a switch or DVD via S VIDEO you should be sorted.

Cable from phone out on TV to amp, and digital from DVD to amp.

    Thanks mate.

    Here is my current setup:

    DVD:
    S-Video To TV AV3
    Digital Coax To Amp

    SKY:
Sky RGB out to TV IN AV2

    VCR
VCR to SKY via Scart AV2

    TV:
PHONO OUT (Left & Right) to AMP IN

    GameCube/PS2:
Connected Via Phono to Scart Adapter to TV AV1

    1 Is the above OK/Right?

2 How would I use the S-Video switching?

3 How would I get the OSD from the AMP to TV?

    Cheers

OSD is normally from the amp S-vid or composite socket If you get an S-vid cable for the consoles you can use the amp to switch both video and audio sources ie DVD & GC & PS2 to AMP and AMP to TV remeber to connect the PS2 by optyical for the surround sound.

PS check the manual.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
