    Hello,
I am building a basic HTPC with a Sanyo Z3 Projector and a PC with an Athlon 64 3000+ CPU.

I want a graphics card that will be good with movies and OK with games (both at 1280x1024).

Most importandly I want a card that will work with my projector without much trouble.

I will probably connect the PC to the projector with DVI->HDMI and graphics card can be AGP or PCI express.

    Thanks.

I've heard that the nvidea cards have some problems with movies at resolutions like 1280x720 and they need a lot more time to setup with powerstrip etc...
    is this true?
