I am about to get the new Pioneer PDP-504HDE plasma with a native res of 1280(Hor) x 768(Ver). I need to upgrade my Video Card in any case but which one, if any would give me native res without having to play about with Powerstrip ? Or do all recent Nvidia and Ati cards offer this setting ?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Well the Nvidia GeForce4 (Creative Labs Ti-4200) sitting in my PC can do 1280x768 as well as 1280x960 and 1280x1024 and beyond using the normal Windows display controls.
You'd probably find out the ATi supported res list on their site.
I would imagine it would be available on any decent graphics card (esp the ones with DVI output).

    Many Thanks Owen,

I've got my eye on a GeForce FX5600 which is more than I can afford really (all the dosh has gone on the Plasma). It looks like it should do the trick then.
    Regards

    Simon
