Hi,
Which is the best video recorder for transferring tapes to a dvd recorder?

Thanks for any help

A JVC or Panasonic VCR will far outstrip the competition at the moment. The quality of playback offered by their S-Video line is superb IMHO.

If quality is really crucial then go for one which has a Time Base Corrector (TBC) which will add stability to some older tapes.

You'll pay a bit more but it's worth it.

Some bad experiences with Panasonic - I've got a couple of JVC machines and they have performed flawlessly in the past. Pity they don't get much use now.

Just noticed you're back Rasczak. Did you come back fully loaded from the land of the rising sun?
