    Hi all,

I've just bought my own house and one thing I've been excited about is getting a nice big widescreen TV...
Thing is, I struggle making decisions and there's just too much to know. I know that CRTs are within the scope of my budget, I think 28" will be perfect.

I've looked at loads but was hoping for some expert opinions as to what would be the best bargain...

    A few I've seen:
    Bush ones in Tesco
    Daewoo ones in Woolworths
    Panasonic tx28dt4 in Dixons
    Sony Wega (100Hz 2000 model)

All the above are £250 or less...

One thing is 100Hz vs 50Hz, I was advised about colour blasts being an issue with 100Hz?

    Any help/advice much appreciated...

Particularly as to what are the best makes...Sharp? Philips? Panasonic? LG? Sony?

That Thomson one sounds great, cheers.
Would that be a good bet as opposed to the Sony one on ebay?
I've noticed Thomson get really good reviews on the site and was all pro then a colleague at work said someone they knew bought a Thomson and it died after about a year...
Probably just an unusual case but it made me a little wary...
