I just watched the first episode of season 8 of GoT and most of the episode on Now TV was ok quality for me. However, the dark scenes were abysmal.

Is there any better UK based service in which I can access a better quality stream? I do not wish to purchase SkyQ. Is this the only way? Do we have a UK based HBO go that would offer superior quality?

Sky have exclusivity so I’d say your only options are SkyQ or Now TV.

I’ve never watched GoT so gave it a go last night. I lasted about two minutes. What a load of drivel, punctuated with poor CGI. I fail to see what all the fuss is about. That it appeals to the masses is beyond me ... still, each to their own!

Perhaps giving a go longer than 2 minutes would’ve helped.
I’d say give it at least the first few episodes of season 1 and if your not hooked by then, then it’s definitely not for you.

The CGI looked awful, and the acting that I saw was pretty stilted. I take your point, and if I ever find time/space in my current watch list on NowTV, Netflix and Amazon Prime I’ll take another look, as you suggest. For now, I won’t be loosing any sleep about having not watched it.

You're missing out - you need to watch from the beginning to appreciate the character development and the plot twists. It's a great show!
