Afternoon.
I am in the market for a new 4K tv.
We currently have a 50” Panasonic TX-P50GT60.
Sky Q has recently been installed.
The only other item attached to the TV currently is the newer AppleTV although the new S Xbox One is being considered.
Sound is via HeosCinema soundbar and wireless subwoofer (as we have 8 other zones). The about to be announced Denon AVRs with HEOS built in maybe a long term solution. I think the HeosCinema is more suited to a second room rather than the main TV watching room.
We won't be buying any physical media (and have none) so sky / streaming only. We have a large iTunes movie database (all in hd) and have the top price Netflix already due to the amount of logins required.
Could go upto 2k if justifiable. HDR wanted for future proofing.
Pass through of 5.1 audio via hdmi would be handy.
Due to the tv stand I have (and want to keep) the stand for the tv should be central ish.
Any help welcome.
I read Sony TVs have issues with sky q at the moment and oled seems a little pricey.
Is buying a older TV which has now been reduced (eg Sony KD-55XD9305) better than a new one with an initial similar price?
