Panny TX-28PM11 is again over your limit...

    http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPC-Panasonic_TX_28PM11

    But Samsung WS28M066 is inside...

And this one is an IDTV, although just outside your price range again...

Hope thiis helps...Not a fan of Samsung myself but they do offer a lot of tv for the money. I just wonder how good it actually is.

    Welcome to the forums :)

    Currys Product Code - 705688 is a 28" Panasonic for £273 + del.
    Currys Product Code - 088190 is a 28" Philips IDTV for £329 + del.

There are or have been online voucher codes available for Currys so do some digging and see if you can get 5, 7.5 or maybe even 10% off those prices.

Also, there is a 32" for £349 instore at Comet, a Thomson. You can't beat a bit of size.

    HTH,
    Mike.

That's rumour, although many electronic components may well be common the way it's designed will be completely different, and as far as I know Sony only use their own tubes, and don't sell them to anybody else. That's what makes Sony generally better than Samsung. Samsung put out sets with tons of features, but I find them to be below average for picture quality, which is what primarily interests me.

I went to Currys today hoping to square a bargain in the last day of the sale. Didn't work out given that they had no stock of the Philips 28" idTV 6559. Still it is on the website with stand for £329. Pop in the free delivery code and include the nine month 0% interest free option and I have almost talked myself into it.

Thought about buying a TV from Currys but chose to stick pins under my fingernails instead.

The popular DCBYAW code has gone now (was 7.5%). Don't know of any others at the moment but Reestit Mutton's page will have any new ones up as and when.

I'm trying to help you and I have done. I'm not being smug but I don't need to tell you anything else apart from what I have done already. There's nothing else I can say. Can you not work it out ?
