Best TV £350-£600 Range

Hi, I'm looking for some advice as my old school Philips CRT TV packed in today so I am looking to purchase new TV which will bring me back into this century.

What would you recommended for a budget of £350-£600, size 40-46inches and 3D not essential

What will you be using the TV for? What inputs do you need? What are the viewing angles like? What is the lighting like in the room?

The tv will be for everyday use as it will the main tv in the house. The room is light. The tv will go flat against a wall (not situated in the corner of the room)
I'll be connecting my DVD player and sky box to it and from time to time I'll be connecting my PS3.
I'll need at least one scart port, one or two HDMI ports
