As the title suggests, what’s the best thing you’ve bought in 2017?

I’ve bought a few different things, Headphones, a new AVR, new iPhone but as I write this the most practical thing I’ve bought and that I use every single day is my Dyson V8 Absolute.

That’s the most practical thing but my best tech buy goes to my Oppo 205. My first dip into 4K! Marvellous!

Best this year has to be our first house! Can't really beat that can you haha.

But on the tech side has got to be the Philips hue light strip which I implemented under the cupboards in the kitchen. Reason it's the best thing is because i have it up so when I ask Alexa to play music it automatically starts cycling through different colours.

Nice thread and has got me thinking...

Apple TV 4K has really been a good buy, B&W P9’s have been sublime and iPhone X a worthy contender. But the best has been finally being able to go from a 4mb internet connection to a 1Gb up/down connection.
Totally changed the way we consume everything so can’t top that this year.
Let’s see what next year brings!
    Happy New Year all!

Has to be my iPhone X it’s just a great phone and the new series 3 Apple Watch

And lastly my Xbox One X which I received free AFTER cancelling my order (whistle)

2018 is going to be a more productive year for different expenses after moving into our brand new built house in Feb

    On the cards
Hive with Pro Instal for the heating
    Yale Door handle Conexis
    Ring smart doorbell series 2
    Dolby Atmos soundbar

And if I feel really generous
Pioneer CD Decks, mixer and all the other gear :)

@Mr X; I thought B&W were sending those with the P9’s a lightening cable? Thought is was supposed to be out before the end of the year? Have you heard anything?

Yeah still waiting. Been delayed a few times but still nothing. Haven't heard anything official from B&W for a while though.
Would be nice to get it but I use my Mojo/Poly combo so not a major issue... but I still want it!

    Dyson V8 Absolute.

Forget my new 4K OLED TV that I bought a few months back, this is the real purchase of the year.

I should also add to this thread my Apple leather folio case that saved my £1,149 iPhone X. I’m embarrassed to say that whilst throwing out some rubbish (ok, empty booze bottles!) I kept hold of an empty bottle of Jack Daniels and threw the iPhone in the bin! So yes, my Apple leather folio case was a good buy!

Probably my first direct purchase, rather than contract on a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge.
Already eyeing up the Note 8 for next year.

Can't say I purchased this as the wife got it for me in May for a birthday present . Fantastic easy to use BBQ for the two of us that has had a whole lot of use in 2017 and will in the future . The Weber Q1200 is fantastic quick n easy , fancy a BBQ at any time tool for a moments notice .
1200-blue-1.jpg great build quality and up n running in less than ten minutes from deciding to cooking .

    Love this thing.

Probably my consoles, Nintendo Switch and XBOX ONE X.. being a father to one year old twins throughout this year, has meant I haven't had much free time for anything at all. For this, the Switch is an absolute god send, being able to jump on it spontaneously and not rely on a TV is awesome... for the rare time I do get a chance to game the XBOX ONE X 4K graphics have blown me away.

I also subscribed to Spotify towards the end of 2017 and it has become an invaluable subscription service, I've never been big on paying a sub for music, but I really underestimated how awesome this service is, it is the only place I go to listen to music now as it lets me sync my local music and also works amazing on the XBOX.

Finally, BeatsX, I just love them, they sound amazing, and get me through days at work in a busy office environment.

Good idea for a thread! Been struggling to pick a 'best' but would be a tie between my Samsung s8 plus and Samsung Gear s3 smart watch.

Wish I had something more interesting but I use then both everyday so I guess that counts

Panasonic DX902 58" again though not purchased as I got it as a replacement for a faulty Sammy JS9000. I actually came away with a new larger and better display being FALD and ended with £800 In profit , although Vincent took a big part of that with a pro calibration.

Quality I.e best thing bought was for someone else

I bought my mum (81) her first smart phone. She loves it, only really uses text and camera but really likes the way it helps her keep in touch with cousins etc.
