I was thinking android since I like my android phone and wanted a bigger version, but I wonder would a windows tablet be better, since I want to use power point presentations, word (.doc) and view/highlight (or copy from) pdf files. Can you copy and paste and multi-task between apps?
Is it a hassle to do this through android or can android OS read/edit the same files?

I'm thinking a decent quad-core processor, 2gb ram, SD card slot or micro-usb even for a pen drive. Under £200.
I really want it to have a responsive touch screen for typing, I tried one before and there was lag.. no good.
I've seen some tablets have a protective wallet with a physical keyboard layout inside it which connects via USB, I think this would be ideal for uni work. So a tablet which has this option would be best.

Thanks for any input :)

You're describing Microsoft's surface pro series which would suit you're needs. Unfortunately that's not on you're budget. For under £200 try looking on eBay for second hand but even then its unlikely.

I don't think an android or ios tablet is what you really need. In practice int'l be no more useable than editing files on a smartphone. Possible, yes but would you, no.

Maybe a refurbished Dell Venue 8 Pro from Dell Outlet if you can live with an 8" screen?

Dell Factory Outlet

A bluetooth keyboard case from the main Dell site is about £37
Dell stylus a further £20 from Amazon (cheaper than dell)

Is the key a windows OS?
The venue looks decent and I saw Toshiba does a windows tablet exactly in my price range..
