    All,
Looking for your thoughts on which speakers to purchase.:lease: Have a budget up to £1500. Use is 90% movies, very little music. Would prefer black. I have attached a layout. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

have you had any thoughts on size of speakers that work for you. For instance you can get an excellent Monitor Audio set-up for the budget you have in mind with a mix of floorstanders/bookshelf etc or you can go down the sub-sat route?

Also what amplifier are you thinking of running?

I have a pioneer vsx1018 amp/receiver. I would lke a sub, centre, 2 fronts (floor or book) and two small inobtrusive rears. Any suggestions? :)

You need to audition a few packages so your ears can decide.

But you may want to consider

    M&K

Something for a larger room here

    Anthony Gallo

    Linn

Take a look at the XTZ power buys here

There are more from B&W, Kef and others but the best piece of advice is to go out and listen at a local dealer.

I'm going to suggest something like this :-
Monitor Audio Silver RS1 AV Speaker Package - Quantum Electronics (UK) Limited

or you could go to RS6 floorstanding fronts and drop the rears to the Bronze set-up.

If the rears don't work aesthetically you could use the Radius HD rears with the system. Although for performance I would try to stick with the FX rears if you can.
