For use in a stereo hifi (Nad c370 amp with a pre-out, b&w 602 speakers), what is the best sub? I heard the epos els sub is good, and can get that for 300, is usually 380ish....

Have you searched through the posts in the subwoofer section? Write a few names down and see how often they appear in the last 25 posts.

    Should you give a clue;)

yeh was just wondering if it made a difference to choice of sub when considering that ill be using it in a stereo system rather than 5.1, as I've heard that the EPOS works well... or is this just bull?

The Epos sub is definately the weak part of their system and you can get better value elsewhere.

The XLS200 sub that russ.will linked to is an excellent subwoofer that is sold direct to the public by the manufacturer but would probably sell for £500 to £550 if sold via traditional retailers.
