    Wot do you rekon?

    I'm thinkin' either

    Rockford Fosgate Power RFR3115 15" sub + Power 1001BD 1000W mono amp.

    or

Kicker C18VR Comp VR 18" sub + the above amp.

Both cost £850ish, which leaves my some cash for an enclosure + some quality cable.

    Any suggestions or thoughts appreciated.

If you mean the sub, there is an Adire importer/distributer in the UK.

Try Bladeice . I'm pretty sure they used to deal with Adire - if they no longer do i'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

I heard a Genesis amp the other week and have to say I was completly blown away. this was with genesis componenets and no sub, it was the sort of sound I look for in a home system, very detailed, smooth and some serious snap to the midrange. I thought the sub was on but it wasn't, when the sub was turned on the whole thing got even better.

If you get a chance to listen to one, do, they are awesome.

I would highly recommend looking at some of the new JL subs. Very highly recommended.

Lynx, AFAIN am can get adhire, but they are more expensive than the RE XXX's and not as good so he doesn't really advise them.

My choice would be a RE xxx with the RE amp to run it.

    Much fun indeed :D

Probably worded wrong, as far as I can remember he said, The xxx and adhire sound very similar but the xxx is cheaper. If I can find the post i'll put it up.

The XXX uses the same technology as Adire namely XBL^2 technology. This produces pure flat in car response all the way down to 5Hz if conditions permit.

Low distortion too is premium in XBL^2. I have an XXX and it's punch musical and no distortion whatsoever.

    Nice unit indeed.
