best sub £400 player????

    i would like a new dvd player to use with my shiny new sanyo z1 pj under 400 quid.
    need:
    fantastic picture and sound
    component output
    multi region
    progressive scan
    what do you recommend and why?

    Since you own Tosh players already, have a look at the Tosh SD520. £210 from dvdplayers.co.uk. It's Multi-Region, has NTSC progscan, component out and DVD-Audio. The 510 was highly recommended as a decent CD spinner (in the sub-£400 category) so this player should be no different. I think it compares very well against many CD players in the sub-£400 category. Oh yes, and the picture is absoluty fabulous, darling :D

    how do you think this would compare to the pioneer 656a?
    i know this does not have prog scan but the picture and sound are suposed to be very good.
    anything else you would recommend (dont mind brand really just want the best ) ?

    Or if you dont want that level of build quality I think the Philips 963SA will be the one.

    why would you choose the phillips player over the others in the same price bracket?
    also anyone know good places to get the players from?

    when are the uk ones out they only seem listed on one site.
