Hi
My mate is looking for a HD ready LCD for around £1000. He has no definate size preference. Ive read a few reviews but would be interested to see what you'd go for at this price. Any tips much appreciated.

I have an acer 32 LCD.

Good picture for 800ish including VAT. My version suffers from fan noise but this is apparently fixed now - change to heatsinks. - Downside is its a faith purchase as I havent seen them physically anywhere.

Good 800:1 contrast and overall picture quality especially with a good quality DVD feed.

But there are a lot around this price tag now, - I like the Sharp GA or GD series for quality and the Phillips ambilight is good (but much pricier).

People say good things about the Hyundai Q321. Apparently its the same as the Marantz which you can see in a lot of Hifi shops.

I bought the Toshiba 32WLT58 from Sevenoaks Sound & Vision for around £1100, just run a Froogle search which showed up this weblink below, it has 2 HDMI connections which gives it an advantage over other LCD's for this price and its a cracking set. If your mate holds off then this range of Toshiba sets may come down in price as the new range has just been announced. see avforums latest hardware news for details...
