Can someone please recommend me a good set of 5.1 speakers for £400?

Thanks.

What AV Receiver or amplification are you going to drive them with? How big is the room? Any particular size/style?

There is a "what speakers should I buy" section in the speakers subforum by the way.

- Yamaha RX-V667
- No idea but but my current setup is 7.1 with the following distance to get an idea of the room size:

- Similar design and size of the speakers in the image below:

Thanks, will have a look there too.

Q Acoustics 1000 or 2000 would be worth a look.

What about the Monitor Audio Bronze AV1 and adding something like the Wharfedale SW150 for £150. £50 over budget though.....

The speakers on that image above (Harman Kardon HKTS7) are they any good?

If you go to the speakers forum and do a search a number of threads will turn up.

Your receiver deserves more than £400 worth of speakers but that's another story...:D
