    hello there
as my knowledge of PCHT is progessing ive now started to experiment with with different players. ive tried ATI player 7.6 (ive got a radeon 7500 and an AIW128pro), powerDVD 4.0 with patch and DTS, winDVD.

now i cant work out wich one to use, i do prefere the functions in my version of powerdvd. and i also require DTS output.

ive got the newest dvdgenie i dont know how to set this up for best picture. the powerDVD section doesnt seem to have much function and ATI/cinemaster section has two parts, old and new. so im dont know which one to use.

also is the quality watching on a pc as good as ona stand alone player, as there seems to be a fair bit of jagged lines and motion blurring, like in panning scenes.

hope u guys can help me choose which software and configuration to use.
    thanks for reading :)

The Sonic Cineplayer 1.5 players have the best picture quality by some margin. Also use DVDregionkiller instead of dvdgenie its much better.

TheaterTek is Cineplayer with a modified front end.

    Hi Apul,

I don't know about the SBlive 5.1, but Theatertek certainly supports DTS via spdif.

you could try searching the TT forum for more info.

    best regards,

    Paul.
