Which sky magazine guide do you lot find best ?
the best sky guide is the one on the box,
I want a paper one like the post said but thanks anyway
I get TV & Satellite week, which I think's pretty good.
Yep also get the same magazine. I've tried a few others but always go back to this one. Its clear and easy to read, plus has a summary page for each day where you can see by "time" what is on, quite useful.
I'm not so sure about that; I've been looking out for a show called "Physc" ever since i saw it advertised when in America last year. There was a movie of it on SMHD2 the other week so you can imagine how happy i was when i saw it was advertised on Hallmark.
I decided to look for when it will be on by going to A-Z and looking for "P".....no sign.....searched for ages.....still no sign! Then coincidentally when i went back to the Sky Channels there was an advert for it for Sunday night at 8pm on Hallmark! Checked the guide for Sunday at 8pm and there it was!
So why was it not under the A-Z?
The A-Z is a waste of time to search unless your looking for something thats on within the next 24 hours. Thats the as far as the A-z extends to. It does not list the full 7 day listings.
Used to get the above, but the radio times was (still is doing) a deal so swapped over and now think its better
You really believe this?! If the current EPG/Guide is the best there is, then we are all in trouble! Not enough people complain about the EPG, so Sky have no incentive at all to improve it!
The EPG is atrocious! Sadly we don't have much competition for Sky so they don't seem to be willing to make any substantial improvements
I use my 7 year old TiVo to find stuff - it's a thousand times better!
Proper 30 day A-Z searching for just a start!
Interface design has moved on somewhat since Sky introduced their EPG.
The Vista Media Centre EPG is probably one of the nicest looking at the moment.
Why, for example must we lose the the TV picture and sound when viewing the EPG? I would like to be able to continue listening to the TV sound and have the picture in the background.
How about using the Sky website to incorporate more detailed information into the EPG available on press of Info or Red? Detailed film reviews, listings, etc. Oh there is so much could be done now compared to when the EPG was first designed.
I like the MyStuff EPG used on Toppys - see here.
It's about time Sky did a complete redesign of the EPG with more customer configuration available. Come-on Sky - pull your finger out!
