    Hi.

I have just sold my 2yr old Sky Box, the Panasonic TU-DBS45. The pictures were great and it was very fast through the menus, but it lacked a Hard Drive and Digital Audio Out. Also, the warranty was long gone.

Could somebody recommend the best Box around at present (Performance and Reliability), whether it be Sky or Sky +? I already have a 0.9mtr dish with Quad LNB, so only the Box is required. In addition, what would be the best source for this Sky Box?

Many thanks in advance, Gerald. :)

    P.S.

Also, are the new SKY+ boxes HD future proofed?

    Thanks, Gerald.

I've just got off the phone to SKY regarding future proofing and was told that the current SKY+ boxes are not compatible to receive HDTV when it is launched. A new box will be required. More money...

I suppose I'll have to accept it. At least the current Sky+ box could be used in another room when the HDTV box is required. By the sounds of it, according to other threads, my very recently purchased plasma panel will need to be upgraded too!
