Best SKY+ Box?

    As mentioned in another thread, I'm now seriously thinking of switching from NTL to SKY+.

    I think it's the case that you can't be 100% certain that you'll get the box you request but I guess there is no harm in asking, did work for me many years ago.

    Which box is the best? I've read good things about the Pace V2 on this forum, the Panasonic has also been mentioned.

    Would appreciate the opinions of forum users before switching!

    I would say that the majority prefer the Pace V2, both from a performance point of view, and because it is the box best suited to HDD upgrade, should you wish to do this.

    I have the Pace and really like it....

    Has S-Video and SPDif (optical) outputs which have both come in very handy :)

    Not sure if all Sky+ boxes have both those connections in addition to the SCARTS.
