Where I live i have rubbish phone reception (for EE) which means I rely on a signal booster via my WiFi. Therefore if I lose broadband I can't tether as a backup.

My o2 reception is fine so I'd like to get a backup sim that I can use via a usb dongle (which hopefully will work in my Asus xt8).
Anyone know the cheapest deal either for a sim that lasts say 12 months with little use or a small monthly retainer. Don't need masses of data as it would be a backup.

Thanks for any help.

Get a giffgaff payg sim they run off o2 or smarty if 3 is decent in your area

Thanks. I picked one of those up.
I can't quite see how long a payg sim lasts if you don't use it though.

@anavfan Do you get a good Vodafone signal, or is it just O2?

It's just O2. I went with a GiffGaff sim which works well.
