Can anyone help with this one? Some of the threads are close to answering this but not completely.

I have a Panny PW6 and Domino 20 projector, and am looking for a scaler or similar to further improve picture quality. I am using a Denon 2800MkII for the DVD feed and Sky + V2 with JS RGB to VGA convertor for my digital feed.

What device would give me the best return for both projector (for DVD and Football on Sky) and plasma (Sky plus only).

i think you need to go se some.

The Lumagen HDP or Pro can be set to offer different refresh rates and resolutions at single button presses. This could be useful in a situaton like yours where you have different resolution devices.

Best to go view some though as there are plenty to choose from.....

    Hello Paul

I take it your only viewing on one display at a time?

I guess it could come down to budget.
There's a couple of great choices at every price point, could you let us know which sort of bracket you're looking at?
There's a few that will cover your basic feature requirements.
    Cheers
    Alex

    Hi Paul

OK, that simplifies things - a little.

How does the Domino 20 react with a Progressive Input signal? - I take it the On-Board processing drops out; or do you get any clashes if you use Progressive from your DVD player?

And is your Domino 20 the HDMI or non HDMI version?

    Joe,

The Domino arrives in the next few weeks, and I am moving a lot of cables about so I would like to try and put this all in at the same time. Consequently< i do not know these answers yet.

It will be the HDMI version. I am also tempted to go for the 30H model as it will future proof me for HDTV in a few years time-Glad to get thoughts on that too! I guess a scaler would ultimately work better in a 720 res projector??

Great forum as always, and thanks for all help offered!!!

    Paul
