I had the phone for 3 weeks before I realised that unless I got rid of it quick, it was going to be smashed against the wall. I liked it initially because of the smooth and crisp feel to the keypad buttons, blue screen, sound quality, and aesthetic design. Little did I know that the Korean idiot who designed it thought he was building a flashing musical dildo! The text messaging is impossible to use. If you leave the screen, it wipes off everything you wrote, which would have taken a good 10 mins since, as my man above mentioned, it is awkward to use and the dictionary does not learn. What's more, you have to flick to another screen to switch between numeric, predictive, and non-predictive text formats. So, you can easily find yourself rewriting the same message over and over if you accidentaly press the wrong button to leave the screen. The irritating flashing light serves no purpose (unless you're deaf and cant hear the phone, which defeats the object of having a phone in t he first place!), except keep you awake at night. The stupidest feature yet is the persistant text tone/buzzer: IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO READ YOUR NEWLY RECEIVED TEXT, IT WILL BUZZ AND RING EVERY 60 SECS UNTIL IT RUNS OUT OF BATTERY OR YOU OUT OF PATIENTCE! Imagine if you're driving, or are in a meeting, or asleep @4 in the morning!!! Another bad feature is the clock setup. When you're talking on the phone, the time display disappears so the only way you can check what time it is, is to hang up! It has a terrible reception and the menu hirarchy setup is a complete joke - in some cases you find yourself stuck in a page and unable to go back to previous page or route menu, unless you cancel and come out completely. Those who've never owned a desent Nokia phone may give this more that one star. I've switched to a Nokia 6100 and it's excellent. Way to go Finland. Korea, switch to making dildos.

    Too true :(

Mine lasted 4 months before I finally got rid of the damn thing and went back to Nokia.

Wouldn't surprise me if whoever designed it hadn't ever used a Mobile! ;)

The mind does boggle sometimes - finally got rid of my sharp GX10 this week that was useless. Camera was rubbish, Connected to vodafone live every time you pressed one button wrongly, calender allowed you to set alarm reminders up to a whole ONE DAY in advance, brilliant that is, I'm fairly sure I can remember up to the end of today thank you Mr Sharp.

As stated above, back to a proper phone company now (Nokia 6100) - no camera, but quite frankly I couldn't care less as it does everything else PROPERLY!!!

    Edit: Rant Over!

Try owning a Xelibri 4- you will never send another text message. The ring tones are a bit :kisses: and it looks like a tamagochi. It does however have excellent reception and mines being charged now after 8 days on with periodic calls.

And I've never seen anybody else with one :)

6100 unreliable? Not really - I sell them secondhand (work) and we get very few back under warranty. Main offenders right now for warranty jobs:

    All Motorolas
    Samsung T100
    Samsung A800
Nokia 7210 (because we sell so many we see more back, most just need a bios flash)
Nokia 7250 (again, because lots get sold)
    Sony Ericsson T68i
    Sony Ericsson Z600
    Nokia 7650
    Sharp GX10/i

Only seen a couple of 6100s back under warranty, 1 of which was because the battery had worn out.

Alextgreen: what kind of problems do you see with the Sony Ericsson T68i? I have had one for just over a year without problems, but just to keep me primed for the future?

Totally agree. I impulse-bought a GX10 from The Link just over a year ago when they were pushing camera phones and had a mental offer on. One of the worst phones I've ever had. Takes ages to turn on and off. Keeps locking up. Camera is useless. In the cold weather the battery would run down in an instant. The best thing it is for is texting where the huge screen is an advantage, but its hardly alone in tha aspect now.

And an alarm clock that requires you to leave the phone ON all night? Jeez... Get a grip, Sharp!

i love mine but there are some unbelievabley glaring problems with this phone,

1 the fact you cant play games with the flip up and the touch screen imho is a nightmare to play games with.

2 the bluetooth hook up with SE`s own equipment is hit n miss

3 the stupid placement of the wap button and camera buttons.

4the camera is shocking compared to the quality of pic from my gd87

5 you cant copy n paste a number received in a text

6 the battery isnt really as good as i would have hoped for its size.

7 that handwriting recognition is awfull

on the other hand i just put my first film on the phone and the look on peoples faces as they say "god you texting again" an i say no im watching saving private ryan :) lmao a quick glimpse on my screen is enough to havin them in awe lmao.

1 Depends on the games. Action games maybe, but everything else is far better on the touch-screen.

2 No problems with an HBH65 (although that has crappy battery life)

3 I actually like the placement, very easy one-handed use.

    4 Definitely agree.

5 Just highlight and copy with the edit menu

6 Again I agree. To be fair, its a big colour screen though and you tend to do more with it. Used just as a phone its pretty good.

7 Totally disagree. Best handwriting recognition software I've ever used. Great stuff.

oh yeah and why the bloody hell do we have to have the flip down to access the some of the main features :( very very poor.touch screen is fine for pool and the basics ,vrallyis a nightmare with the jog dial for accelerate and touch screen for left an right.try playing the cart game or the 3d shoot em up its absolutely shocking.

point 5 jesus why didnt i think of that :) oh and are you serious about the none bluetooth problem because there is a thread 15 pages long on a p900 forum where everyone is having probs with there headsets not picking up calls etc.
