hi,

my family is just building my new home theater. im looking out the best compatible but reasonable amps or receivers for my speakers. our planned room setup is to have 7.1.4 dolby atmos

here are our speakers

here are my speakers
focal Aria 926 floor standing
focal Aria cc900 center speakers
focal chorus sr700 in wall speakers
focal custom ic108 -- in ceiling speakers for atmos
JL audio e112 -subwoofer

im still a newbie for this. thank you!

my room dimensions are 12.46 to 13.45x 20.66x8.5 in feet. there will be 2 rows in my home theater

Have a look at the Anthem MRX 710.
Not much out there betters it including those that are astronomically priced though it's not that cheap itself.

It's replacement (MRX720) should be out soon which I think will have atmos or the other one.

it doesnt have atmos or dts x :(

Do you have a budget for an AV Receiver?

I would suggest Marantz or Denon. Though if you have a high enough budget, you could consider higher end brands, but the price would be rising pretty high.

Denon AVR-X7200WA AV Receiver

Denon AVR-X6200W

Denon AVR-X4200W

Marantz SR7010

Marantz SR7010 Black 9.2 Channel AV Receiver w/ Bluetooth & Wi-Fi - Marantz - AudioVisual Online - Home Cinema and Hifi Specialists

The question is - How far do you want to take it?

Arcam AVR850

Steve/bluewizard

thanks for the suggestions. im looking at this now
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_4&smid=A33ZFW15ZO0RKP

is it good enough? not sacrifice my speakers? should i get a separate amp?

The 710 does not but the soon to be released 720 does. Apparently it has both atmos and dts-x

I'm looking at both of these also. The Marantz SR7010 is cheaper but it costs £120 for the DTSx upgrade where the Denon's is free. I do want DTSx so this makes it a more difficult choice. I'm thinking ill go with the Denon becuase I wont need to send it off for an upgrade.

Does anyone know when this years new receivers are due as I can wait.

Yamaha have just brought their new range out - cheapest with DTS X is the rx-v81 at £500

our home theater plan.
