    Hi,

Try doing a price search on Kelkoo or pricerunner, I've seen them going for £394 including delivery.

    Hope this helps.

multiregion magic are based in Peterborough. Have visted the shop several times -decent prices and seem a professional outfit.

Of course this doesn't really help you if your're gonna order online. I think their website looks a bit naff...

but these guys have been in Peterborough for a while now.

    Hi

I've just bought an e95 from them, ordered it saturday delivered today, looks a fine machine so I'm going to have to play a lot.
I rang them several times before I bought it and they were very helpful indeed.
    I can definetly recommend them.

I have just had a look on the 123eletricals4me website and the Panny E95 is £339 Region 2 or £379 Multi-Region, or it seems you can order the Region 2 for £339 with a Multi-Region upgrade for £15 which is £20 cheaper overall, has anybdy else spotted this? and does anybody know if there is a cheaper way to Multi-Region an E95? as I will buy the Region 2 model if there is!!

    Thanks

    Martin.

I noticed the cheaper upgrade option - might get in there quick before they notice.

It is posible to get software or instructions to convert DVD kit to multiregion (many examples on ebay) however £15 is a good price for this and you know it will work, whereas the ebay route is never certain.

Have emailed 123electricals today and they have the E95 in stock and will delivery next working day if ordered before 2pm. I have been looking at either the Pan E85 or the Tosh XS32 but after seeing the price of the E95 and it having a 160Gb hard drive think I will go for this one instead, can anyone offer any advice on this model and if it is worth paying a bit extra for this against the other two.

    Thanks

    Martin.

If you're keen on buying a DVR\HDD than go for it. if you can wait than new range from sony and panasonic should be available in the next couple of months.

One advantage of the XS32 is it can write to -RW discs, if that is important to you. The 85/95 can't.
The new Panasonic models will support -RW, so waiting is another option if -RW is important.

The XS32 also allows you to set the widescreen flag on a DVD-R; the Panasonic does not. See these threads:

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184267&highlight=widescreen+flag+squashed
    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178268&highlight=widescreen+flag

This doesn't seem to be an issue for most, as if you manually set your TV to widescreen the widescreen recordings will show properly. But it is an issue if you record a widescreen DVD and want to play it on a 4:3 TV that doesn't have any display options, it will look squashed.

How lucky you are. My wife won't buy me a DVD Recorder  - Do you lend your wife out at all? say around October when my birthday comes around.
    Enjoy your new toy.

That's a good question sheridan2000, I would like to know the answer to this as well! I was about to order a E95 yesterday but found that the new Panasonic models due out soon will support DVD-+R/RW discs so I might wait until they are out before I purchase a recorder, although I'm not sure how much the equivalent to the E95 would be! my budget is £350.

    Just ordered a E95 from

    www.unbeatable.co.uk

total cost not including delivery was £319 (i only live about 10 miles away)

this was price matching with jac in the box electrical and a further £10 off. really should have been £20 off but hey £319 is a dam good price. my local panasonic shop had it up for £599!!!

gotta pick it up tomorrow...lets hope all goes well

    sheridan

just to add the unit can play both dvd-rw and dvd+rw discs so long as they are finalised!!
