I think I saw them for 449.95 on Sevenoaks website. In the special offers section. Is that a good price?

    Hi,

Just to clarify the situation as you all know the uniQ driver based speaker series is only available in store to demo and collect - we do of course make it as sweet as possible with packages to suit if anyone fancies a trip to scenic lancashire! Most dealers only have the Black MK1's in black left as silver have not been available for quite a while, you should be able to pay £450 or less for the black MK1's. I think Sevenoaks bought all the remaining silver eggs so this may be the best source of that particular package. At that kind of money they represent amazing value, i believe all the MK1 eggs floating around at the moment all have th MKII (250w) subwoofer and not the slightly dodgy MK1!

    Thanks,

    Ben

I was under the impression that the only difference between mk1 and 2 was the sub, but you are saying the eggs drivers are different too?

Absolutely, the tweeter in the MKII is now a 'proper' kef metal dome like the type found in the Q series, this translates into much better detail and imaging, and a longer run in time!

Around 50-60 hours, they will sound harsh at first and gradually 'loosen ' and mellow. We keep selling our showroom demo set due to stock shortages and it takes a frustratingly long time to get the new dem set right again!

I got two eggs for £100 (the pair!) in Sevenoaks, Edinburgh - they were ex-demo, black. I needed them for rear surrounds.

Not sure if they will have any left - that was a couple of weeks ago at least.

Anyone seen the .2's cheaper than Creative Audio @ £649. I know Audio Excellence branches will price match if you show them a print out of CA's website.

Can't afford them for a month or two anyway as moving house (damn it's expensive - never again!) but just keeping an eye on the prices.
