I've just bought one from The Panasonic shop in Exeter. Total price including scart board and pedestal stand was £1148  First impressions are excellent. I'm connecting Sky+ s-video through Yamaha 2500 amp s-video to scart on screen. x-box is only connected via composite to amp. I know these connections are sub-optimal but using 1.5 metre reasonable quality (<£30) cables it is difficult to see how the picture could be improved.

I did look at a few screens before buying but in the end it came down to size and price. The LG and others with speakers either side of the screen looked too big. The PE50 viera was a few hundred pounds more expensive and still SD. The new 32" LCD Vieras looked very nice with a good viewing angle but were a bit small.

Thanks to everyone who posts regularly to the forum, I don't know how some of you have the time and patience to be so helpful. Even though I haven't asked any questions on here, the search facility was a useful research tool. :hiya:
