I have loads of jewellery that I never wear anymore.
Nothing special, just the usual chains and rings amounting to around 50g
Its sat doing nothing now for over 3 years so probably best to get rid of it.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Pawn shops tend to give you the best prices of old gold, what ever you do don't send it into any of hem cash for gold places.

The end of last year my sister was down visiting from Scotland. She brought some old gold and silver and got some prices from jewellers round Nottingham, taking the best price for each carat, it came to around £1760.

My ex wife works in Birmingham round the corner from the jewellery quarter, she took it to this place they gave us £2338 for the same stuff.

What happens is your local place will give you what seems a good price, they then stock pile this until they've got a load, then they take it to brum to get a better price.

So for the cost of some petrol if your local ish better to go there in my experience

The rates on that website (hatton gardens) are surprisingly high almost 95% of traded price per gram. I wouldn't have believed it if not for the previous posts.
