Looking for a DS for my nephew and so far ive found it hard enough to pick up a cheap one. Play-asia and DVDBO are looking around £100 for them. Pretty poor value for money. Is there anywhere you can pick up a cheap enough unit?

TBH you could probably get one second hand quite cheap. I got mine with 3 games on here for about £130.

I bought mine from amazon marketplace for £80 with a official case. It came with the Metroid demo which I presume they all do. Amazon are also selling Mario 64 DS for £19.99. The game is fantastic although the lack of an analogue controller on the DS slightly reduces playability. However the extra recreation room games are very good generally and the game looks fantastic on the little screen. The trouble is though I can't think of any other games I want to buy on the DS right now. The good thing is that Mario 64 has months of playability.

Nintendogs looks a good application for it. Anyone know when it's out in the UK?

no idea. It is the only reason i haven't sold my ds yet.

I have project rub and warioware, trouble is those games only have about 2 hours of gameplay each which is a bit crap. Although those 2 hours are great fun.

Zoo keeper is alright, but there is a dinstinct lack of quality software on the ds it must be said.

    there is alot of software being released in japan for the DS but we still seem to be waiting here, but, it is the summer games drought were they delay most big games until July so we are lookin at this year;

    Viewtiful Joe
    Naruto
    Nanostray
    Mario Kart DS
    Metroid
    Bomberman DS
    Electroplankton
    Animal Crossing
    Advance Wars DS
    and a few more...

You can always import most of the games before they're released over here anyway

From a table (if it's on the floor you have to bend over and might do your back in) :D

Seriously though, got two for my nephews from amazon Uk for £95 each, plus mario DS and Robots (which was on sale for £12  )
Super saver delivery, but they still sent it on time and via omega securicor so I was a very happy bunny.

The other posts here are right about the distinct lack of quality games at the moment. MarioKart looks like a hoot (especially when you only need one cartridge to play against others) and they also love the metroid prime demo game it came with, but I wouldn't hold my breath because as with most things ninty/sony, the UK market is the last to be offered anything.
If you wait until PSP is released, I'm sure the DS will drop in price.
