I bought mine from playasia.com. It cost about £150 for standard PSP (not value pack). It arrived in about 5 days but I was constantly informed about delivery progress and had to pay £30 impport charge. I bought accessories (memory card, case etc) from eBay for cheap.

At VGPlus here they are £143.25, if you ask then nicely they will check the PSP for dead pixels and there is a very good chance you won't get hit by import duty.

Remember that the PSP has region coding for films, so if you wanna be able to watch UK UMD's when they come out make sure you get a region 2 PSP. (i think Japan is region 2 as well)

There's no region coding on the games tho, so no need to worry about that!

    JAP PSP are Region 2
    USA PSP are Region 1,

I would expect software to be available very soon that will make the PSP region free, thats if its not out already.

I opted for the region 1 because i don't want any games or umds with japanese writing on. I know i wont be able to buy uk umds when they come out but im sure there will be much more available on region 1 and much cheaper than over here (As usual).

I got mine from VG+ but i would recommend movietyme atm because they have some in the uk and they are now £199 with a game.

Does anyone know if importmadness.co.uk charge import tax? They have a couple of good deals atm, and looks like a good place to get a psp.

Somn retailers will mark down the value of the package and as a Gift, this should get it through customs untouched but I would always go with a retailer from inside the UK as this is the only way to make sure you wont get charged anything and with Movietyme offering Value Pack with game and Next Day Delievery for £200 there has never been a better time to by.

It still has to have a value of less than £18 marked on the package even if its marked as gift if you want to be sure of avoiding customs.

Well thats not exactly true. Loads of people got them for £105 delivered from DVD soon a couple of months ago, but I agree the MovieTyme offer is amongst the best available currently. Its crazy to think these things retail at les than £100 in Japan and around £120 in the US

Bought mine from LIK-SANG. Have to say that they are VERY efficient! Ordered mine on Friday and it arrived on Monday, now that is very impressive!!

The only thing that I would say is that because they use UPS you have to pay VAT. :(

VERY happy with the PSP. :smashin:

£150, delivery usually within 3 days. Ordered mine on Thursday night, turned up on Monday morning. No customs charges

I was told they don't pixel check. It turned up absolutely 100%, no dead pixels whatsoever and so I'm dead happy :D

I used ExtremeVision UK www.extremevision.co.uk i received my Sony PSP Value Pack the next day with a choice of any game i wanted. I found them to be really helpful. The value pack was £199 delivered for Japanese version and with a game it was £235. They also do lots of interesting gadets like Sony's new DSC-M1 camera.

I ordered my PSP from Videogamesplus last friday evening.

Arrived today with my 5 games (was value pack with Gretzky and Spiderman).
Got a usb lead and carry case.

Got around 3-4 dead pixels in the bottom left which are only noticeable on black sections - might wear off dunno only switched it on a couple of hours ago :)

Good price even though the DHL carriage is extremely expensive (I recon I've saved maybe 100 quid and of course I've got it now :)

Overall fast and good service and I'll deffo use them again for games for DS & PSP.

I have used www.extremevision.co.uk on a few occassions, the guys name is Akin. I tell you what this guy is helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I ordered a PSP at 3.30pm, I spoke to the guy for about half an hour so it didn't leave much time and I still got it in the post the next day. Good service or what. AA++
