Anyone know the best/cheapest place to pick up a Philips 32PF9830. Looks like a fantastic TV and we'd love to get one, but everywhere seems to be over £1600 for it

Try Home Discounts Electrical Warehouse. You can find them on ebay. They are selling for £1449 + £50 delivery, but you can collect if you can get to Surrey. They are the cheapest I've seen and have seen good comments about them in these forums.

Ghosting on hi definition material and tv resetting.... big gamble to take when paying 2 grand. Once Sky HD is launched you'll see many more complaints about ghosting.

Thankfully got John Lewis to price match it down to £1600 for my parents so they are pleased with it. Least that way if the ghosting bothers them they can return it with ease. Only shame I see with it, is that if I use the VGA cable with the TV it won't do the full resolution.

    That's interesting.
Can you please post the details of the pricematch either here or in the JL 'sticky'.
    Many Thanks

    Sure

They price matched RGB Direct as you take in the details of their two showrooms and they called them up. £1599 matched.
