    Hi,

Where's the best place to get a cheap car stereo wiring adapter? I know Halford sell them for around £10-£15 I assume, but there has to be a cheaper place out there where you could buy one?

I've got a 2001 Golf with the orignal c*ap cassette stereo and I am going to replace this with a Sony MP40 CD/MP3 Player.

    Cheers,

    G

    Hi,

Cheers for that. I picked it up 2nd hand for pretty cheap so no additional wires. I've tried that site but they just seem to sell head units etc?

When you get a replacment loom do not fit the stereo unless you know exactly what you are doing because late VW's all require a modification done and some additional parts for aftermarket radios.
I can get you a genune Sony power loom for £15 they retail at about £35-40 at dealers and I can supply you the other bits as well.
If you want a short ride down the M1 I have the VW removal tools for the stereo as well.
