Thanks for that - I did check on the comparison site, but Shrek 2 is not on there yet...

Best I would say is CDWow as they have the 2 Disc Region 3 Edition for £12.24 using the Forums Discount Link, the R2 release is a different cut to the US release and is re-dubbed in scenes and the R1 release is only a 1 Disc Edition so R3 seems the way to go.

What do you mean about re-dubbed ?
    Does not sound good.

The UK release of Shrek 2 has two of the characters re-dubbed for the british audience.

The first is the Ugly Sister who the King speaks too about having Shrek taken care of. In the US cut of the film the character is voiced by Larry King but the UK version is dubbed by Jonathan Ross. The other character re-dubbed is the Red Carpet Reporter who is talking about the guests arriving at the palace, the US release has Joan Rivers doing the voice but the UK release has Kate Thornton.

I know for some these changes dont really matter but as the Joan Rivers character is actually modelled on her, changing the voice seemed a pretty stupid thing to do so I will be getting the untouched original US cut of the film, would have prefered the 2 Disc Region 4 release but its abit pricey so will settle for the Region 3 release.

Re: preferring the R2/4 version - I really notice the difference between the character's voices from the first Shrek movie which I have on R2 and the R1 Shrek 2. Donkey especially speaks very quickly on the R2 and Shrek sounds very Scottish!

Probaley best to stick with the same format you have Shrek on then.
If you have a PAL copy of Shrek then get either the Region 2 or 4 release and if you have a NTSC copy of Shrek get either the Region 1 or 3 release.

I will still be getting the R3 release of Shrek 2 even though I have the Region 4 release of Shrek as I play most of my NTSC titles in PAL so shouldnt notice a difference.
