    Hi rhino, I buy from

www.dvdfromkorea.com who are excellent. they give the usual customs options (receipts / values / and mark down price). thoroughly recommend them. standard posting usually takes 4-5 working days. usually get good limited edition casings etc.

www.cdwow.co.uk are also pretty good for some asian films.

    I'd also recommend -
    A Tale of Two Sisters
    Audition
    Dark Water

they are pretty good films (Dark Water was recently remade with Jeniffer Connoly, and I believe ATOTS is being remade too).
best with the Asian films, alot better

avoid the remake of dark water like the plague! they managed to turn a supernatural horror into a family drama!

shutter is the best of the best in terms of asian horror in my opinion. it's only available from www.yesasia.com at the moment as far as i know.

guess they are'nt just bad drivers then.....

      :D

thanks for the info guys, have heard about shutter before too, are these films dubbed or just subtitled?

i dont mind subs tbh, but anyone i watch them with seems to hate them

one more quick question, do the region 2 versions tend to be cut at all?

found a R1 box set of the grudge on ebay, and an r2 version of the ring.

obviously i want the full effect, so any advise appreciated :D

got the mostly uncut version of ichi the killer and thats quite a shocker

there is an unrated version of The Ring 2, available on R1, although the movie is pretty awful

there's a director's cut of the Grudge (remake) also available on R1 which is supposed to be more similar to the Japanese original.

As far as i know the R2 versions aren't cut, but you can find out for sure at www.dvdcompare.net which will show you the differences between all the regions.

Normally you will find that the movies are subbed rather than dubbed, but in a good horror movie like dark water, the eye or shutter, you find that the talking doesn't take place during the scary scenes so you don't miss anything. This was my main critisicm of Ringu, as people seemed to be talking all through the movie.

remakes are usually complete garbage. I read withhorror that Oldboy is to be remade. absolutely criminal.

regarding cuts, yes alot of R2's do have cuts compared to the R3's.
    for info -

    www.dvdcompare.net
    www.dvdbeaver.com
