Please suggest UK sites prefibly where there is no vat/customs etc.... I already know that someone on ebay would end up selling them but I would like to help all of us by trying to find good decent sites US and UK for buying american PSP games when they start getting released over there.

I'll be ordering PSP games from www.dvdsoon.com. I realise that they're a Canadian company and hence items may fall foul of customs and excise, yet I have ordered from them on 30 seperate occasions and have never paid tax once, (touches wood). I've also ordered from Hong Kong, USA and Australia and have never been caught. Even if you do get caught it's rare and the money you save in the long run makes it well worth the risk. With my I-Fidelity card (20% off all purcahases til 3rd March), I can pre-order PSP games for between £17-£21 including del. www.videogames.ca are more expensive at £30 but mark down the value of goods so that they appear as gifts of a value of £10. I've yet to hear of a VG+ parcel not getting through. Apparantly DS, games and even PS2's have gotten through. If you buy from a shop in the Uk you will pay a hefty premium.

I've seen USA/JAP GC games listed for £45-50 on a UK net site. Whereas I pay roughly £28. Sometimes less. Viewtiful Joe was just £19 at launch from dvdsoon!

Are there any online stores where we can buy US PSP games that are based in the UK so it eliminates the risk of customs charges??

If so please list them here, as of yet I cannot find any at all.

    Please help

Do VG+ automatically mark down the price as a gift or do I have to request it when the order is placed?
    Thanks

ummm, bit of hostility towards nuplayer, they contacted me a while ago about a banner and commission scheme but nothing has come of it - dont see any reason at the moment to doubt them.

even though i hate johnny vaughan so the site of his inflated ego mug would probably deter me.

oh and you can probably get the us games from lik-sangs european branch if you want a really good name in the business - havent checked what they are offering yet.

maybe some polish importers will be taking advantage of being inside the EU and offering cheaper games by paying their staff in vodka (no offence to my polish friends)

Would also like to know the answer to this question as I have just pre-ordered Wipeout Pure from VG+ for just over £25 including shipping which seems like a great price to me but didnt mention anything in the requests box about marking it down.

Any time. You'll have to let us know when you get it, possibly post some pics?? :)

I might even start pre ordering some myself, I'll try to find a site in the UK which sells imports first though so it gets here quicker.

If you do get stung for customs, I'd imagine it'd only be about £4 odd. It shouldnt be too much.

Even if it got caught there would only be a max of £9 in charges so would still work out cheaper than buying from alot of UK import shops but hopefully that wont happen :D

As for taking photos, sure thing, would it be the case and disc you are after or that and shots of the game running on the PSP?

True, it would still be cheaper.

Take photo's of the case, and screenshots. That would be great. :)

    No problem.

Also, I sent VG+ an email before you posted your response and I just got a reply from them saying they will mark the package as $20 and as a Gift, if all things go well I will probaley order more titles from them.

I am going to buy my games from muplayer are they any good? The games cost £40 including delivery which is not bad considering I was quoted £50-60 earlier elsewhere. I want wipeout pure and Ape Escape dont know what other game to buy maybe spiderman 2.
I see the machine is not out in the UK untill June the earliest so glad I bought the import machine.

i emailed expansys to see if they would be stocking the US PSP games and they said yes so i will probably order off them.and judging by the prices of the jap games im not expecting to be hit to hard over the odds for the price of them.

Looks like good prices for PSP games if they are inside the UK as most other importers want £40+ for games, might have to order Twisted Metal or Metal Gear Acid from them instead of VG+
