Best place to buy a region 1 dvd player

    I own a tosh sd2109 but do not want to chip it.I would rather buy a region 1 machine instead.So my questions are 1, best place to buy 2, do i need to get it changed to 240v or are there any devices that would do this for me.

    A 'step-down' transformer will cost you between £15 and £25 (Tandy, Radio Shack etc). To buy a R1 player you'll have to import from the US or Canada (unless you have any freinds in the military who can buy one at a US forces base). There used to be ad's in the back of HCC advertising imported players, but I've not payed much attention to them of late.

    (I do have access to R1 machines, but can't guarantee just when I'll next be going to a US base, sorry; also the choice can be limited.)
